Latest News and Tips for our Frames

March 17, 2016

Hi Everyone,

It's now been three weeks since we launched School Years Photo Frames and we have been delighted by the response we have had. Thank you to everyone that has purchased and shown interest in our frames - we hope you love them.

We have had lots of great feedback about our frames, we have also heard from two customers whose wallet size photos are significantly smaller than our picture openings. We spent loads of time researching school photo sizes, Australia wide, so we had a good understanding of what the typical size is. We found there is no official or standard size for a wallet size photo which is why we made sure to specify the opening size in the product information on our website.

In saying this, we are certainly working with our customers to produce a new matting that will accommodate these tiny photos. So if you are concerned with the fit of your photos then please don't despair. Keep an eye on our website and emails for tips and ideas on how to get the best out of your frame.

It is worth mentioning that your child's photos may change in size from year to year, depending on the photographic company used, what school they are attending and how well the photos are printed. We had an instance where one of our children's wallet size photos all varied in size between 2-3 mm - and they were from the same pack all joined in a strip.

Some years your pictures may fit well, and others years they may not be such a perfect fit. There are clever and creative ways you can make this work, so please don't hesitate to contact us for some guidance if needed.

Have a great day
Natalie & Amanda

 HERE'S A LITTLE TIP

Depending on how far your child has progressed through school, there may be some photo spaces patiently waiting to be filled. In this photo we have inserted some decorator scrap booking paper in the frame which helps fill the blank spaces. This looks really effective as you can choose a colour or pattern that suits the decor or style of the room where your frame is displayed. Scrap booking paper is best, as it's acid free so will help preserve your photos for years to come. My daughter wants pink with white polka dots, which will look very cute in her white frame (I will post a pic of this when done).
